Crests of Fear

The Crests of Fear stand towering over the isle of Navran, looming as more a threat than geographic feature. No succesful expedition has made it further than two to three crests deep into the range. Skyships steer clear of the Crests of Fear as to not invoke any number of fearsome monsters. The Cosmic Awl is the center, tallest peak of the Crests of Fear, has never been succesfully reached to public knowledge. There are rumors that the Cosmic Awl has a secret hidden purpose.
Monsters Rumored To Have Been Sighted In The Crests of Fear:

• Ancient White Dragons
• A Ball of Tentacles (or something like it?)
• Packs of Strange Centipede Lizards
• Giant Grey Men
• Giant Bird With Goat Head

Many expeditions have gone into the Crests of Fear, but in recent centuries few have even bothered. The last recorded expedition to was in 1634, lead by a crew of religious pilgrims.
