Hills of Plenty

The Hills of Plenty are the defining feature of Kästran. Golden, rolling, and mostly serene, the Hills of Plenty consist of rolling grassy hills with rocky outcroppings around serene stretches of savannah and copses of cypress trees.

The Hills of Plenty lack a singular large river or watersource, but notbably features many springs that bubble out into small rivers or large creeks that lead to small lakes in the valleys. These bodies of water allow for many fruitful and productive small farms that produce a large variety of grains and fibers. The open, gentle hills allow for exceptionally easy skyship access, while being reasonably secured from the elements. Whatmore, the temperate nature and well defined shapes of the landscape mean that the land is rarely ravaged by shifting waterways and floods. In short, the Hills of Plenty are stable, rich farming territories.

Each hill usually has a family or small village living near its base. Most larger copses of trees will likewise have an associated family or village, usually elven.

At the very bottom southern area of the Hills of Plenty, the landscape becomes much more hostile before forking off into Southwestern and Southeastern branches. The Southwest leads to Ekr'o and the Southeastern hills lead to Phlontr'o.
