Indran
Indran Island is the seat of industry in the Cloud Sea. Comprised of mostly Humans, Warforged, and Dwarves, this island is full of loggers, miners, engineers, and traders.
Indran's reputation of industry hinges greatly upon it's access to natural resources. For this reason, the Aarakocran Empire had aggressively targeted and invaded the island during the Ancient Era. While the exact details are not commonly known, the Indran resistance is believed to have contributed greatly to defeating the Aarakocran Empire during the Ancient Era due to their ingenuity and ease-of-access to resources. Regardless of the specifics, they quickly rose as a new global power during the Post Dominion era.
Interestingly, almost all (if not all) Warforged are believed to have their origins in Indran. There are many rumors as to their origins, but the answers are likely held in the Grand Cloister. All that is known is that Warforged are rare else, more have not been made in years, and the magic and technology behind them is very poorly understood.
Geographically diverse, Indran can often be lacking in culture that isn't related to science or skyships. As a result, many other peoples find Indran to be lively and bustling, but unfortunately bland and serious. There are, of course, exceptions to this rule, but it tends to hold true especially around Mount Ire and anywhere important to the Cogsire Group.
You would be mistaken if you had thought I wouldn't mention the Cogsire Group in the same breath as Indran. This corporation is almost inextricably linked to the power and governance of the Island. Of course, they don't directly control
