Skyships are airborne ships that allow for inter-island travel, commerce, and naval combat.

Skyship Technomagic

The early history of Skyships is rather murky, with their origins being unknown. Science-based engineering schools and companies will argue that early ships relied on rudimentary understandings of physics and weather patterns. The magical and spiritual schools argue that gravity magic and holy magic, respectively, came first. Wizards and such would simply argue that engineers only refined the designs to make them more efficient, enjoyable, and elegant.
