Gods of the Forbade
Demons, false idols, wicked spirits, the lost; The Forbade are the eight deities of the original pantheon worshiped by the early humans of Thramysis that were cast out after the Litany of the Eight was first heard.
The average person might not worship them, but they may also offer prayers to the Forbade in everyday life. For example, a blacksmith might tithe to the priests and wear a sign of the Sage, but he would also offer a prayers to the Usurper to bless the sword just forged with her will to spread chaos and slay enemies. To most humans today, the Forbade are little more than boogeymen, foul spirits or demons.
However, there are those that still worship them in one form or another. The Lost are not necessarily evil entities, but many represent forces or concepts that have no place in the worldview of the Litany. Cults may spring up around them, and some say the Forbade are more likely to answer prayers and intercede in mortal lives.
Structure
There is no centralized worship of the Forbade, though cults and secret societies often spring up to study the mysteries of these entities that were once closer to human lives.
Divine Origins
The Forbade originate from the pantheon of the Faen, known as the Senden, which had 16 deities that balanced all the forces of the universe between them. After humans drove the Faen from Thamrysis, their religion slowly changed and the Forbade were seen as manifestations of evil or chaotic forces and were removed from the pantheon.
