The Hya Battlecruiser

Before, a massive Battlecruiser, the proud of The Empire; now, a rusty piece of old equipment in the big deserts of Yaith.

Purpose / Function

Originally it was conceived as a big capital ship designed to represent the power of The Empire, and it did its job very good.

Alterations

Since the Battle of Yaith, the majestic battle cruiser has been discarded by local thieves and has been weathered by the planet's harsh climate. Before the moment of its crash, not a single piece of the ship was changed, only things as antenas, fuel tanks and electric power generators needed some repairs, but even those were not changed.

Architecture

The idea was conceived by Aerial, a military company specialized in mobile parts and fast fighters, so they joined both ideas and the Hya was born. It was then built in Overt, Almoir's dockyards.
It was equipped with six small single-barreled guns in the back, mounted in two big deployable sections of the ship. These two sections would keep undeployed until being in battle, as the guns needed a lot of energy, and high speed travel wasn't possible. Then they would take around 10 minutes to deploy.

History

It was conceived in Almoir (planet) as a capital ship, the biggest in the fleet of The Empire. It was assigned to many battles, as it was the worst nightmare of the rebels from The Colonies Revolution. It had six small guns in the back, which when deployed were the most powerful anti-air guns until that moment, making even the A-100 model an easy target.
One day, during The Colonies Revolution , the ship was commissioned to destroy a little convoy which consisted, as they thought, of some big cargo ships escorted by some frigates or even a short cruiser. Only the Hya and two support destroyers were assigned, as the task was easy.
They went to the zone, the white ring around the planet Yaith , they saw nothing but a small cargo ship in a suborbital orbit, so they prepared to engage when suddenly a whole fleet emerged from the Circumspace, engaging fire with the three lonely ships as they called reinforcement from the nearby planet of Almoir (planet). The rebels made an ambush with explosives in the asteroids so when the ships came, they would explode, but the ships decided to go for a suborbital orbit, trying to escape from the approaching fleet. The destroyers deployed their armament, as well as the Hya, but some squadrons of bombers managed to bomb the main hangar of the Hya before deploying most of its fighters. The team that helped the most was in the frontline, with A100 equipped with torpedoes, they were the Taskforce One, now helping the rebels. In less than an hour, the first destroyer was destroyed because of an explosion to the port engine, but the reinforcements arrived, as it was now a massive low orbital battle.
The Hya took a big shot to the rear, destroying the starboard deployable section and allowing rebel bombers to engage. The Battlecruiser was now an easy target, as it took bomb after bomb, eventually deploying some of the lifeboats, but it was inevitable; the big Hya eventually sank, crashing with the planet in the middle of the Confederation Desert.
