Elouan, The Most Famous

A Halfling Bard who is famous for traveling the world, sharing his tales, and getting into misadventures. His story has grown to be beloved by all of the continent (perhaps save for those who hate Halflings deeply) and many children grew with the fable close to their hearts. Its influence is so pervasive because his narrative occurred and was published during The Age of War, where people often saw bloody conflict everywhere they went. Elouan, however, though cunning and mocking, was surprisingly understanding and his life's recounting is filled to the brim with friendly encounters that feature Wild Races. Most notably, he is famous for gathering different songs from all over the continent, and bringing them to Hance, where they were studyied. Though not directly credited for it, his contribution was instrumental in the eventual creation of The Leonin Method, which led to the modern style of Hannish music that is so revered today, as well as the style of sheet music composition used today.   People perhaps also fell in love with his story because it offered optimism in a time of bloodshed. However, an eventual re-publishing with the advent of a more widely utilized printing press near the end of The Bloody Peace helped to solidify Elouin in a pantheon of romanticized legendary figures.   He is also famous for his meeting with the Dragonborn, Ernst of Lodern. The event has recognition because Ernst allegedly let Elouin peer into his mind to learn of the truth of Black Scale, but instead saw "A roaring black smoke; thick and undying".
