Wild Commune
The concept of a 'Wild Commune', developed by Devarsi Kaur, is the political theory that examines how the Wild Races conceive a nation. Simply put, Wild Races live in a system that works in a combination of community presence and natural geography. So Wild Races see a region as a place where their kind lives and which has a kind of flora and fauna. They see their people as co-habiting with any who might live in the region, ruling over their own peoples. So The Great Nest is characterized as being an enormous, continuous jungle. The Apelong rule over their kind, understanding their 'realm' to be The Great Nest and govern their own kind. Close by them are the Bullywugs, who have a similar perception of their surroundings. Though their lands 'overlap', they don't refute each other's claims, nor force each other to follow each other's laws. Where the jungle ends proper, their realm ends, which to some can be up to interpretation.
This stands in contrast to how City Races conceive state; as dominion over a strictly set and measured amount of land that is governed by the same set of laws.
