The Continent of Fjordharrn
Twenty Eighth of Warming, 1532 MT
Once, there existed a collection of knights known as The Order of the Protectorate led by five powerful paladin knights. Each of a different race, they kept peace between the kingdoms of Fjordharrn under their benevolence and power to snuff out evil for over a thousand years. Their bond would not last, as a political cult of necromancers known as the Collective, would come to resurrect the infamous and powerful dread lord, Sadariin, from beneath the kingdom of Leopold. The knights quickly rose up to try and repel the vile being from their continent once more, led by their most powerful leader, Allastor the Brave, but Sadariin’s power was too great to resist. Though he fought ferociously to the bitter end, Allastor was ultimately defeated. The Kingdom of Leopold was lost, and the only vestige of hope was the wall built across Leopold’s center to defend the new reformed kingdom, Endurea, from Sadariin’s forces. With this terrible defeat at hand, however, the Order steadily lost morale and were quickly overwhelmed without Brother Allastor by their side. The four remaining great paladins of the Order broke away and disappeared into the world, seemingly without a trace, and left the Kingdoms to maintain the defense on their own.
Now, as years have gone by after the fall of the Order, the kingdoms have grown increasingly distrustful and hostile toward one another, as old rivalries flare up once more. Meanwhile, Sadariin remains behind the wall, quietly brooding, waiting for an opportunity no doubt. With this time of great instability, many wonder if there is anything anyone can do to change the tides of what is to come...
