Gorm Firespitter

Gorm Firespitter is a dwarven warrior with a tough exterior and a heart of gold. He stands at just over four feet tall, but his muscular build and battle scars make him seem much larger. His skin is covered in small, scaly patches, remnants of the dragon curse that has plagued his family for generations. His eyes are deep-set and piercing, always scanning his surroundings for danger.
Despite the hardships he has faced throughout his life, Gorm remains fiercely loyal to those he considers family. He is quick to defend his loved ones, and even quicker to strike at his enemies. His combat skills are unmatched, honed through years of training with his father and honed on the battlefield.
While Gorm may come across as gruff and unapproachable, he has a soft spot for those in need. He has been known to go out of his way to help others, even at great personal risk. Gorm's sense of honor is unwavering, and he always tries to do what he believes is right.
When he learned of Igor's involvement in the War of Vale, Gorm didn't hesitate to join his old friend in battle. Despite suffering a near-fatal wound, Gorm's determination and resilience allowed him to recover and seek out his friend once again.

Personal history

Gorm was born as the great-great-grandson of Gumbar Dragonfoe, who was famous for defeating a golden dragon in combat. When the dragon was defeated he cursed Gumbar with dragon magic, the very thing dwarves despise. Over the generation the dragon magic started manifesting until his descendants had a scale-y skin and magical abilities. Eventually Gorm and his father, Gruth Firespitter, were cast out of their community and chased off. For a time they lived in the foothills of the Domart Mountains, but there too they were chased off.
After many years of exile they arrived at Castle Kährlich where they were taken in by Tigor von Kährlich, the great-grandfather of Igor von Kährlich. There they joined the knight's retinue and Gorm was trained in dwarven combat by his father. They lived a good live at the castle and after a long live both Gorm's parents died of old age. In 1185AP Regor von Kährlich introduced Gorm to the baron of Vallendal who hired him as the leader of a mercenary band. Since then he fought in many battles and wars, but always remained a close family friend of House von Kährlich. In 1245 he learned that Igor had gone to fight in the War of Vale and decided to join his friend.
They fought many battles together. In the final battle of the siege Gorm suffered a seemingly fatal wound and Igor went home mourning the death of his friend. However, the clerics of Derwon healed Gorm and when he had recovered he set out to find his old friend again.
