Harold II Lorling
King Harold II Lorling
Harold II, the unremarkable king. Born to a father who traveled the kingdom to ensure loyalty of his vassals, Harold II inherited a stable kingdom. His reign was long, lasting nearly six decades, but mostly uneventful. He was a wise and just ruler, but lacked the charisma and ambition of his predecessors. Despite seeing many changes in the political landscape of the continent, most notably the independece of the Archduchy of Sovar as the result of a Burbric succession crisis, he failed to capitalize on them to strengthen the kingdom of Rasfadal. Some have criticized him for not taking advantage of the weakened Burbric Empire, but others argue that there was nothing to gain politically. In the end, Harold II will be remembered not for his accomplishments, but for his long reign of peace and stability.
