Ryrsta

"The Village of Ryrsta is named after Ryrmann. Legend has it that he swung his war hammer with such force that his opponent was thrown off a tower. He would have drowned in the sea, but landed on a sandbank and saw the error of his ways. The sandbank became a holy site for the village, and many are baptized there in the name of the fairy goddess Nawo of Change and Transformation.   The village is surrounded by a wooden palisade, with several docks lining the shore where long ships anchor after their infamous raids. At the center of the village lies the Ryrsta Mead House, which serves as both the lord's residence and a gathering place for villagers. Here, mead is brewed and stories are shared over communal feasts.   Religion is an integral part of life in Ryrsta, and the Temple of Kordus serves as the religious center of the village. Dedicated to the Lord of Order and God of War, this temple is a place of worship and reflection. The Tower of Ryrmann stands on a small island just off the coast, and is a reminder of the legendary figure who gave the village its name. Additionally, Nawo's Bank, the sandbank where many children are baptized in the name of the fairy goddess Nawo of Change and Transformation, is an important holy site for the village."   -D.
