Personal history
Dahlia was raised in Elko, Nevada, the third out of four children. Her mother was a Youth Advocate for the Elko School District while her father stayed home with the children but active in the coin collecting community. As with most citizens of the United States, Dahlia lived a simple, comfortable life. Early one she found herself fascinated in animal and bugs. Her siblings recount on numerous interviews instances where spiders, beetles, even roaches were found being cared for in Dahlia's room that she shared with her older sister.
Over time, this fascination grew into her main focus for her studies through the International Schooling Standard. She excelled in Biology and Environmental Sciences as well as History. It wasn't until she was at the age of 15 that she began to take more notice at world religions.
At 16 she began the philosophy that was Nature's Samsara, reducing her exposure to most technology and going comically out of her way to show compassion to almost anything that was part of nature. Her older sister remembers laughing at Dahlia when she thanked a large stone in a park for providing her a seat. However, some of her peers were enamored with this philosophy. Within a couple years, Dahlia had written a code of conduct and have half a dozen friends who followed her lead. She finished her secondary ISS training and then went for an apprenticeship for the Department of the Interior for the United States. She was helping with a survey expedition of the Elko Mountain as she refined her studies in Ecology Maintenance. Within two months she abandoned both in order to pursue her new found religion. Bunking with almost 10 people in a pair of trailers near the edge of the small town, she began to produce a website and doing street preaching around the region, even traveling to larger cities such as Reno and Las Vegas.
This continued for three years, and Nature's Samsara continued to grow with the group now moving into a family home of one of the older members, counting around 20 people in its ranks. At 21 Dahlia met Thomas Kelly , a man 23 years her senior who had climbed the ranks of the local Housing and Urban Development. The two had a whirlwind romance, surprising all of their friends. Thomas became a swift, strict convert of Nature's Samsara, moving into the group home with Dahlia. The two never officially married, and never were completely monogamous. Still, it is believed that Thomas fathered the eldest of Dahlia's children, Celeste.
In 2148, Thomas received a shock when he was told he had inherited the remote sovereign nation claimed within the Elko Mountains due to a great uncle that had been estranged from his mother's side of the family. Soon Dahlia convinced all of Nature's Samsara to move to the wide cleared area to best practice their faith.
Not much else is known about Dahlia's history. After Celeste, she had three more children: Artemis, Thane, and Brock. She comes down from the mountains about twice a month to continue to preach and spread the teachings of her religion. She lives on the sovereign land with Thomas, her children and almost 50 other followers on the mountains.
