Earth suffers an invasion and subsequent plague they bring that results in almost total destruction of the planet and humanity
The Liothus don't immediately seem dangerous when a small ship they claim is a discovery vessel crashes on earth. The crew choose to remain on earth for 'study' and it takes nearly 10 years for their intentions to become clear.
