Camazotz

Large, bat-like, creatures native to the Pilgrim Lands. They take flight during the night and usually hunt medium-sized mammals like dogs and cats, leading to an intense fear of the outside at night for many citizens. While not specifically predatory against humans, there have been cases that involve the accidental abduction of a human child and/or baby.

One of the inspirations of the Warrior Temples, and one whose trained tactics make them natural skirmishers.
