Shikadon Tradition / Ritual in The Court of Seasons | World Anvil

Shikadon

A practice common in the east, Shikidon are small strips of fabric that are attached to the shoulders of soldiers as a form of identification.   The stips are woven into the uniform itself to make sure that they don't come loose accidentally, and the soldier has their name, rank, and clan of origin written on them. Some have even taken to writing further medical information on the underside, though the practice is officially discouraged.
