A series of wars fought over the course of about a decade. Technically speaking, they weren't civil wars, but they walk the line between a civil and foreign war.

With each successive outbreak of hostilities, the wars got more brutal as each side attempted to bring the war to a close with ever increasingly stretched resources and manpower.
