Conclave of Equals

The Conclave of Equals was formed less than a decade ago from the small kingdom of Ventala. They acted as a refuge for the Ti'Da'Din ( The Touched ) and have been a hotbed of innovation. The general acceptance of the unusual has resulting in multiple culture clashes. The king of Ventala decided in his doting age and lack of a well respected heir to change the government. Not everyone has been happy with the change, but everyone has been happy with the revitalization several industries.
The capitol of Independence was renamed from the former name of Port Lorense, and they have done a fantastic job at allying with the mermen and sea elf tribes to the south and have brokered peace with the Merrow tribes to the north and east.

Culture, Clothing and Festivals

The upper class wear fine cotton in muted patterns. Many wear gathered robes in shades of brown. The lower classes wear loose cut linen in browns with clasps for hanging pouches and being adaptive.
Plays are getting crazy, with a large number of illusionists the special effects are a sight to see. It is common for all people to visit the various play houses. Playwrights and good acting troops can end up rich and popular.
The Festival of Renewal is a recent invention but incredibly popular. Fortunes are told, games of luck are played with cards and dice and food is eaten to excess.
The older festival of Sheaves is celebrated at the end of the grain harvest. Celebrated with singing and chanting and honoring nature. Not everyone in the cities celebrates it which leads to a country/old people feel vs the Festival of Renewal with it's more urban modern feel.

One of the most diverse nations of Bellflower, just about any kind of creature can be found. Especially in the burgeoning capitol of Independence.

The Host of the Nomele is popular in the nation but so is the worship of the mediator god of Dagtril.

The bicameral legislature is made of of the Council of Cities and The People's Council. Each City and surrounding area sends representatives to the Council of Cities and each major race sends representatives to the People's Council based on their relative population.
