Often there is decoration in the form of stylized bats, which is perceived as a symbol of good luck.   The architecture consists of mostly low lying buildings arranged around courtyards, and the entrances arranged into neighborhood central forums.

Demography and Population

The majority of the population consists of Halflings, Humans, and Gnomes.

Religion

While there is no central required religion the worship of Halfling Saint Hibble, a god of harvest and male virility is common in the Hills. The donning of ritual vests during the longest night of the year is due to the story of Saint Hibble healing the young. The local harvest festivals also honor Saint Hibble with the throwing of dice, engaging in Water Jousting as well as fasting followed by a great feast.
