Orc Species in The Crucible | World Anvil

Orc

Originally from the dark of Titan the Orcs have had a checkered past, the Dwarves in ancient times were stuck in a perpetual war with the Orcs. Century upon century of endless bloody warfare, the Dwarves had tech but the Orcs were able to breed faster and maintain numbers against the Dwarves.   After The Nayoman Invasion the Dwarves and Orcs formed an alliance, the highly specialist technologically advanced troops of the Dwarves were backed up by hordes of Orcs clad in basic rolled steel armour with brutally sharp axes. There is no sight like a Dwarven troopship disgorging fifty screaming Orcs onto a battlefield, but this subservient relationship would set the tone for years to come.   Orcs were subsumed into Dwarven society as a labour class and it has only been very recently that they have fully been able to shake off the slave undertones the Dwarves had them kept in.
