Tis the common conception of the Church to Preach the human gods as those who overthrew The Sorcerer Kings, Dragons, and Giants of Old. Though such traits are not without merit, the dichotomy between men and gods blurs when falling into the events before and after the Warp of the Grievous Miracle. In fact most of history fluxes and shifts around this period in time and linear time as we know it doesn't align with historical record until the end of the War in Heaven.
It is therefore in this proposal that we mention the new gods as figures who fallibly and and perhaps even knowingly reshaped the image of the material to serve means and ends that are all favorable, intent on, and perpetuate the locus of power achieved by their contact with whatever divine spark lies beyond time and the veil. 
In this text we will explore the ideas and concepts originally proposed by Leland of the Iron Cape's Vagrancy of Creation. Unfortunately such texts have been sought out and systemically eliminated by the Imperial Church but old records and passages remain that support the context of a Demiurge beyond time, trapped, subjugated or even intentionally created by the ancients before the ascension of the gods.
The primary proposal and assumption we seek to support here are that the new gods touched what will only be referred to as the "spark" of creation and subsumed divinity from an entity or entities far beyond our comprehending. In these actions the grievous miracle rather than a cause was merely an effect of such subsuming.
