Growing up in the dark quarter Tordek was inspired by the Dwarves Paragons Cindy and sought some way to escape his families poverty. He finally learned by observing the alchemists in the ports, he made the mistake of bragging to Adaro that he can make gunpowder, after he proved it he was shanghaied into the dwarven forces.
