Era beginning/endAt the beginning, magic was fluid, like water it could fit a vessel or flow like a wave or waterfall. Little is known of this age. Many civilizations saw terrible strife and suffering as Empires were torn apart by magic now harnessed by men. The very fabric of the veil would change forever as well. Magic would be sundered separated into arcane and divine. A new discipline would come from this, Necromancy. The histories speak of 9 pillars once supporting the world, inherited or usurped by men. What is known is that the ancient empires, giants, dragons, and anathema would be no more after this age.

Schism of Drow
MiscellaneousThere are two laws to Elvish magic, which were taught to the men who learned of The High Art. One, do not consort with 'the other side', beings from beyond the veil will only serve their purposes and yearn for material existence. Do not open gates into other worlds. Two: it is forbidden to consume the flesh of fey. The Drow broke these laws and sought power in order to reclaim The First World, a great civil war was waged amongst the Elves and the exiles were driven into Narvoth, the underdark. It was down there in the Dark they met Lolth, who granted them refuge from the horrors of the dark. The Spider Queen would allow the Drow to dabble into forbidden magic and offered ancient secrets in return of reverence and worship.

That was the grievous miracle and the ascension of the gods." This event marked the cursing of races such as Ogres, Hobgoblins and mutants. It served as proof and validity to man's desire of dominion over the west, and was the sounding trumpet for the new faith.
