General Summary
Kythorn 10th, 1486; Early Evening...
We pick back up with the group, making their way across the bridge, back towards the wine cellar and Ulla & Pog standing watch. The group, on their way by, yelled out to Maelyn & Quin to join with them. Quin, focused on the healing potion she was making ignored the group, however Maelyn nodded in afirmation and made her way to the wine cellar. Unfortunately Merdon and Namira were unable to make it across the rickety bridge, falling into the drink below, Merdon face down. They followed behind Maelyn, making their way back up the ramp-way, meeting back up with the rest of the group outside the wine cellar. Mirater, after making it across the bridge, talked with Ulla and Pog. Ulla & Pog played roshambo for who would stay and continute watch, while the other would go and help the group with the "shapechangeer". In the end Ulla lost and joined the group in the search for what ever it was that was eating gnomes and had attacked King Korboz. The group started their search in the wine cellar, Mirater started by searching the wine casks to the north. Jeph decided to search the wine casks in the east alcove. While Mirater hit, sloshed and worked to determine the casks at the north did not conceal a "shapechanger", Jeph, was not so lucky. Grabing and casting "shocking grasp" on the second wine cask in the east alcove, he becamse grappeled. The cask had secreated some form of "adhesive" and it began attacking him. The group, swinging their attention to the screams from Jeph as the Mimic began to try eating him, were able to quickly put the mimic down. Ulla, amazed that the problem that had plagued these gnomes for now a tenday, had just been dealt with and defeated. The group made their way back across the bridge, however for Merdon, he unfortunately was quite clumsy and pulled down the bridge into the water below the waterfall on his attept to follow Namira's deft elegence in crossing the bridge. Jeph tried to be an ass, when asked to have Dagda turn the turnstiles-of-doom off. It wasn't until Mirater bellowed down the halls that Dagda looked at Jeph, incredulously, then made his way back to the turnstiles and turned them off. The group, leaving Merdon face down in the water, made their way back to King and showed the piece of the mimic that Mirater was carry to the king. He was able to convince the king that the mimic had been killed, after which King Korboz used the universal solvent held around his neck to free his wife from the chair. The queen, quite incensed at her husbands behavior, asked everyone to please leave the quarters, as she needed to clean herself up after three days glued to the chair. The king, while his wife attented to herself, got four items and gave them to the group. One was a hat, with gold stars and moons stitched onto it. Another, was a wand. The other two, the king rummaged about the "treasury" to find, pulling out an amulate and a pole. Kythorn 10th, 1486; Evening...
The group spent the evening "celebrating" with the gnomes; with much mushroom bread and "mushroom" wine to be had. Kythorn 11th, 1486; Morning...
The group, waking up to many sleeping and hungover gnomes, left them to their stupor and began their trek back towards town. In the late morning, during the groups travels, they saw the white dragon, Cryovain, flying from the direction of Icespire Peak towards the west coast (in the direction of Lelion). After a number of times seeing the general direction the dragon has headed towards or come from, they surmised that somwhere around Icespire Peak is where the dragon likely lairs. Arriving to town late in the afternoon, they split up, Mirater heading towards the smithy, in hopes of having a bracket made on his shield to hold the pole of collapsing. Merdon went around town, attempting to sell the manticore head. He made his way to Old Tresendar Manor, met with Nars Dendrar. After meeting Nars, Merdon made his way to The Sleeping Giant taphouse. He was "able" to sell the manticore head, for 2 silver, however it was clear that he was not welcome there and was likely being sized up by the shady figures within the taphouse. Jeph made his way to the Lionshield Coster, selling the greataxes and javelins to Linene Graywind making a tidy profit. Linene was quite pleased dealing with Jeph as there was no need to haggle and both understood the others position with regards to their businesses. The the group met with Sildar at Town Hall. In their conversations with Sildar, the group let it known that they were looking to get a franchise lisence for Acq Inc. Sildar, pondering this information, let the group memebers know to meet him at dinner time at the tavern. Mirater took this chance to purchase a small plot of land, near Linene's home, in the hopes of fixing it up and perhaps using it as business location for the groups endeavors. Kythorn 11th, 1486; Evening...
As agreed, the group and Sildar met at Stonehill Inn for dinner. Sildar brought the gold promised, as well as an additional 20gp for having fought off the 7 orcs. That is where we leave the group, talking about thoughts and plans on how to get a notice to Omin Dran of the groups success, feats & their pursuit of a franchise liscense.
