Brandr Halfhand
Brandr is in his late twenties, and would have led forces during the Danish taking of East Mercia. In taking the region he was granted rulership over the area of Derby, and was responsible for the sacking of Aeschs hall, the killing of his kin and the enthralling of the rest. By many accounts he would be known as a strong warrior who is true to his own word, but who is learning about actually ruling a territory now that he's claimed it.
Aesch attempted to seek him out on the battlefield several times during the war, but the tides of battle always swept them apart before anything could be be decided. It was Brandr's spear that left Aesch terribly injured and left for dead at their last conflict.
The group has found that Brandr is now claiming the title of Jarl of Derby where he lives in an old Roman Vila. His town is plagued with issues and death, but he seems to be keeping the town prospering.
