Dilys
Dilys is a Thane of the village of Chysauster in Cornwall. She became the reeve of her people after her husband was murdered by invading Vikings and she raised a rebellion and drove them out of their lands. She is a no nonsense warrior, who takes what she wants. She is usually fair and honest, but has been known to fall prey to her greed from time to time. Geraint worked for her as her chief story teller/minstrel for a while. Geraint hates her because when he felt that it was time to move on, she wouldn't let him, holding him captive for months until he was finally able to escape when another raiding part arrive and attacked the village. Dilys and her warriors pushed the invaders back again, but when the smoke cleared, as it where, Geraint was gone. He doesn't know if she thinks he's dead, alive or taken prisoner or if she even wants him back, but he loathes her for imprisoning him.
Recently she was discovered in Jorvik intent on taking a group of Britons to join Ivar Ivarsson's raid when she heard that Huw was in town and sent out search parties to find him but instead finding that he had left town to escape her grasp.
