Mermaid Scales

It has long been legend that Consumption of certain parts of Creatures can imbew properties onto those that consume them. Such is the case with scales of a Mermaid. If a mariner or landlubber Consumes a single scale from a mermaid they can breathe Underwater for 1d4 hours. How they are collected and harvested ahow one does it is a closely guarded Secret among those trained in the Arcane arts.
The Legend of this Relic is rather well known in the Dark Caribbean so much so there have been known bounties offered up for capture of mermaids and a single scale can fetch over 100 silver pieces of eight on the Dark Caribbean Markets.
