Character Creation

CORE CONCEPT: Who were you before the Embrace and who are you now? Just think of a cool person or a flashy concept you want to play. It’s like the high concept in FATE.   PICK CLAN: You got bit. Who bit you and what blood flows through your veins?   ATTRIBUTES: Pick one at 4 dots, three at 3 dots, four at 2 dots, one at 1 dot.
  1. Health= Stamina +3
  2. Willpower= Composure + Resolve
  SKILLS: You get a choice between these three distributions
  1. Jack of All Trades: One at 3, Eight at 2, Ten at 1
  2. Balanced: Three at 3, Five at 2, Seven at 1
  3. Specialist: One at 4, Three at 3, Three at 2, Three at 1
You also get one free speciality skill. If you have any number of dots in academics, craft, performance, or science you can add a specialty to that skill. Specialties add one more dot but only in that specific circumstance.   DISCIPLINES: Vampiric superpowers. Choose two of your clan disciplines. Put two dots in 1 and one dot in the other.
  1. Caitiff choose any two disciplines. Two dots in 1, one dot in the other
  2. Thinbloods ain't got no disciplines. Their blood is too thin.
  YOU ARE HOW YOU EAT: This is an optional step if you’re a fresh lick and don’t know how you hunt. This can be discovered through play. Otherwise pick your Predator Type. Add one of the listed specialties, one dot to one of the listed disciplines. Then apply any Advantages and Flaws and changes to humanity.   ADVANTAGES: The fun stuff! This category covers things like who you know, where you hunker down for the day, how much money you got, etc. You get 7 points to spend on these.
  • Thinbloods must take 1-3 Thinblood merits and the exact same number of Thinblood Flaws. It ain’t easy being a Dhampir.
  FLAWS: The even more fun stuff! Want to be broke as fuck or blocked by running water these let that shit happen. Take 2 points worth of these.   CONVICTIONS AND TOUCHSTONES: Who at what keep you tied to the shreds of your humanity? Important people and places to you.
  1. Select/Create 1-3 Convictions
  2. Create an equal number of Touchstones
  3. Set your Humanity level to 7
  HOW OLD YOU BE: Your dead, but for how long have you been?   Fledgling: You got bit with in the last 15 years give or take.
  1. Thinbloods: 14th-16th Generation, Blood Potency 0
  2. 12th-13th Generation, Blood Potency 1
Neonate: You haven’t aged in a decade! Or six decades honestly.
  1. 12th-13th Generation, Blood Potency 1
  2. Gain 15 xp to spend during character creation
Ancillie: Embraced some time between the 1700s and 60 years ago
  1. 10th-11th Generation, Blood Potency 2
  2. Two additional dots of Advantages
  3. Two additional dots of Flaws
  4. Lose 1 point of humanity
  5. Gain 35 xp to spend at character creation
