Local Government

The administration of Royal Detroit is split three tiers; The British North American Council (BNAC) which has an international focus to ensure British North America stays a strong member of the United Kingdom, the Royal Detroit Assembly (RDA) which focuses on the city wide administration, and then local authorities focus on local administration.    The RDA has three branches; the Officer of the Prince, which focuses on culture and provides long term consistency, the Officer of the Major, which holds executive authority, and the Royal Detroit Assembly, which approves the budget of the previous two branches and holds the mayor to account.

British North American Parliament

Due to rapidly growing nature of Royal Detroit, representation in the British North American Parliament is disproportional to other regions. The city is currently represented by two Ministers of the British American Parliament (MAPs Roger Williamson (Democratic Socialist) who represents the City of Royal Detroit region, and Mellissa Roberts (Conservative) who represents the City of Windsor.    The British North American Parliament was moved to Royal Detroit in order to encourage the city's growth.

UK Parliament

British North America has only ever had ten Members of Parliament (MPs) since the signing of the treaty of dependence, even as the population of British North America has grown to almost rival that of England. The ten British North American MPs meet between Parliamentary sessions in order to bring forward British North American issues to the UK Parliament, in what is known as the British North American Representative Delegation. The Delegation meets in a chamber of the British North American Parliament known as the Nine Star Chamber.  The Delegation is currently made up of five Democratic Socialist, three Conservative, one Liberal Democrat and one Thirteen Colonies Party MPs. The Thirteen Colonies Party MP does not take a seat at the delegation or in the UK Parliament.
