Eye Burn
~1 million years ago
Outer swarms are reporting a new danger associated with spending much time in the world of light. A dominant feature of the world is an animal in the outer region that must produce an excessive amount of light in order to be seen against the background. Swarm parts experience pain when their eyes are oriented toward this animal, which in some cases persists when they return to the atmosphere. Those parts then contribute dark spots to the swarm's overall vision. This isn't concerning as long as there are enough undamaged parts to cover the areas these parts can't see, but we will urge the swarms to be careful about too much exposure to the animal.
