Temple of Culdur
Special Abilities
Level 1: Low band Mindtether network
Those skilled in Arcana can use the stone to send and receive simple messages from virtually any other stone in the world. Messages from Deadpoint are queued as very low priority except for emergency broadcasts. Messages are often "stuck" in Port Tessalad for some time as well, to manage bandwidth.
The crystal also has a simple connection to all properly attuned and powered crystals in a 100km vicinity.
Level 2: Inspiring atmosphere
With more people visiting now, the Temple feels alive and invigorating. Crafting, brewing, or learning downtime activities performed in the Temple may grant small bonuses on a DC15 WIS check.
Level 3: Commercial frequency license
Business related to shipping or services can be routed through the Temple's Mindtether without needing to queue at the Port Tessalad switch. Messages to the mainland and sourcing items or expertise can now happen much faster
Purpose / Function
Before the Culdarian Economic Exchange appeared in 3460, the Temple was one of only two hubs of culture for the tiny village (the other being The Kedge in the Gale Inn & Taphouse.
Scientifically inclined fishers use the Mindtether to try and predict the weather. Spiritually inclined ones offer blessings to Culdur to protect their luck and their oars. The space is also ideal for meditation. Conflicts and mediation are often handled here as a neutral meeting spot, and moderated by either Yerra Melimurian or Ainsley Sharkbane.
