The Aspectral Weave

The vast network of Communal Stones that encircle the Heirbrosse Supercontinent and oceans of Culdur. The precise cycle of energy through this global grid of amplifying stones forms the backbone of all modern magic use.

Sunlight, air currents, gravity, and ocean pressure are concentrated through Nodal Complectors down into special stones placed on the ocean floor. The energy pulses along a grid to a focal point on Brosse Island, capital of Culdur and seat of the Culdurian High Temple. The gathered energy pulses down through the planet core, emerging on the other side of the world in a purified wash of Aspectral energy. When Daxill was in power, the Daxish High Temple was responsible for receiving the majority of this pulse and redistributing it to eight surrounding KeyNode Cities (which in turn distribute it outward to RingNode cities, and those outward again, and again, until the eneries again reach the sea.

In modern times, the KeyNode cities themselves capture and channel the energy outward, although ever since The Birth of the Boil, two KeyNode cities in Royth have been rendered inoperable, leaving a wide swatch of the Weave unbalanced.

Access & Availability

The output from The Weave is accessible to every attuned person on the planet. The Nodal Complectors, Communal Stones, and other infrastructure are protected in proportion to their importance to the entire system, although it is designed to be highly decentralized apart from the main node on Brosse Island.

Complexity

It is the single most complex system in known world, responsible for the smooth running of all practical magic.

Discovery

Daxish and Culdurian Luminaries perfected the theory, and the then five major Aspects installed massive facilities over top of the original ocean stones laid by past Culdurians. These facilities combined the power of all the Aspects, channeling energy into the sea and into the stones.
