The Grand Five
The Grand Five, is the name of the companions of Nathan Whytelaw the ones that helped him drive back the invaders and had a significant impact on the later development of Aell. They are:
1. Jokaster Ermenred, leader of the Seekers and founder of the Academy
2. Alexander Backstrom, general of the armies of Aurelia and First King of Illion
3. Kyrrian Mar, former pirate and Grand Inquisitor of the Order
4. Madame Avonne the Bright, leader of the Knight's Seven and First Queen of Karnevrest
5. Urgay, also known as Sir Urgay, former thief
Some scholars argue for the inclusion of Urgay and propose that Nathan takes that spot as the de facto leader, seeing that Urgay did not survive the war.
