Fulgorae Alley

Yeah, the tornadoes are bad, that's a certainty, but the lightning spirits that whip up the storms in the first place are far worse. They're always around, storm or not, and their idea of a prank usually ends with a house or two blown to smithereens.
-A resident of Fulgorae Alley

Fulgorae Alley is a large section of land that encompasses parts of Whosau, Griybar and Bleirin on the Northern Continent  that has a higher-than-average concentration of elementals and nature spirits that result in the area regularly being flayed by high windstorms, lightning storms, and plain old thunderstorms near constantly.

One might pose questions about the faculties of anyone who might choose to live in such a place, fairly I think, but the explanation lay in the profit to be found. In the same way that people put life and limb on the line to work the Oil fields in the hopes of a substantial paycheck, many people live in Fulgorae Alley in the hopes of being able to claim the magical resources left behind by spirit empowered storms.

So popular is the act of storm-chasing that towns have sprouted up in the path of the season storms, made up of people who don't really want neighbors but deal with them begrudgingly because otherwise it would be rather lonely out on those plains.

Geography

Over millennia, the constant raging winds and deluges have beaten the Alley into a largely flat piece of land, and because of that it's a beautiful place of tall and lush grasses, swaying in the gentler winds.   That also means that there's even less to slow the winds that cross the expanse of the Alley.

Badlands
Owning Organization
Within the region, a few magically inclined clans have harvested the region's magical reagents for generations. They largely keep to themselves these days, but there was a time where they harvested the storm-spirits and bound them with bridals, creating herds of horses whose hooves sounded with thunder, and who protected their ancestral lands from outsiders. They still bind spirits in such a fashion, but their views on outsiders have mellowed, somewhat.
