God's Cauldron
You will not believe the humidity of the place, I tell you. Beautiful as it was, you would be sweating bullets as you stood there. God creates wonders there, but I'd just as much rather stay somewhere an icebox will stay cool for more than an hour.
-Pilgrim Guard at the edge of God's Cauldron
Ringed by volcanic ridges that ward off much of the storms and other inclement weather that would hit it, God's Cauldron is a shining example of a micro-ecology. Found on an island that shares it's name, the Cauldron was discovered during the age of sail and has since held a great deal of scientific interest. Originally, it was thought that the interior of the cauldron was all steam and boiling water, as said steam formed a fairly impenetrable visual barrier. It wasn't until researchers became curious and foolish enough to repel down into said fog that they discovered the vibrant life within. It's a large valley, enclosed on all sized by large walls of volcanic stone, which has caused the Cauldron to develop in interesting and unique ways from the rest of the world. The expression of magic within the plants and animals, both average and Titanic, is unique in the area of the Cauldron, resulting in many species that are not seen in any way outside. They're also far more likely to either be completely relaxed, or unceasingly hostile, since they haven't quite adjusted to the presence of humans within their territory.
