The Brothers of Red Thread

The Brothers keep to themselves, and likely would only hang around themselves if they didn't have to leave their little compound to to recruit others or actually perform their charity work.   Even so, they often will do whatever job required of them, gather up their supplies then head back whence they came. The only sign that they were ever there being the red thread now sown into clothing and wounds.

Charity is a wonderful thing. Someone sacrificing their hard won time, money, or possessions for the betterment of their fellow man. I certainly cannot blame anyone that is unable to do it often.   The Brotherhood, however, build their lives around it.   An organization built from the ground up by those that were inspired by one of God's Paramours, the BRotherhood of Red THread makes proficient use of donations in an attempt to make sure of a certain level of quality is available to everyone they can reach.   They do this through providing food, shelter, and medical attention to the downtrodden, and their expeditions around are often heralded by an influx of business to the surrounding area. When the Brothers descend upon an area, they will work tirelessly until they no longer have requests coming in. They cook mass meals of bread and hearty soup for the hungry, patch clothes and wounds alike with their famed red thread, and send out their acolytes out to repair and build shacks/huts for those that have nowhere to put their heads down at night.   The organization subsists almost entierly off of donations from former patients and or sympathetic wealthy individuals, and they do not manage any sort of portfolio with the money, it all goes towards the donation business.

The Brotherhood is so popular that assaulting one of their number is often processed completely differently, not to mention more harshly, than any other kind of violent crime.
