Mental characteristics

Personal history

As a young child, Lucifer witnessed an event that left him with a severe dissociative disorder, however, he has blocked this from his mind and as such it may never be know what exactly this was. However, from the very severe extent of his symptoms it is likely that this is for the best.

Mental Trauma

Lucifer has two mental illnesses that have been diagnosed. The first one gives him a hard time showing and perceiving most emotions and cannot easily tell how others are feeling as well. This can be partially managed due to medication, though it is far from perfect. The second gives him sudden and intense dissociations which can range from making him feel as if he is not real, to that he is floating through a dark, soundless void. Fortunately, however, he can fairly easily be pulled out of these through physical and verbal contact, as well as the sensation of something sweet tasting.

Intellectual Characteristics

Lucifer is a fairly smart man, however he has very poor social skills, and has trouble reading other’s, and sometimes his own, emotions, however this last fact is due to mental illness.
Lucifer is a very well read and verbose individual, with a passion for long novels as well as autobiographies of famous, long-dead noble class and/or high caste Devils, and a love of sesquipedalian words.

Son of Archduke Mephistopheles and Marquess Lilith. Brother of Lord Asmodeus (adopted brother) and Archduke Belial, The Battlemother (biological sister).

Speech

Lucifer has a surprisingly deep voice, which has shocked many who have heard him speak for the first time, especially mortals. He has a snobbish sounding lilt to his voice, and speaks in a very sophisticated manner, however he is also shockingly vulgar, liberally peppering his speech with profanity and does not shy away from crude or sexual references, this is likely due to his brother’s influence. He is also very rude and constantly insults most people, usually in a flowery manner, with most compliments being heavily veiled, though this is more due to not knowing how to properly talk to people rather than any actual malice. Any compliment he does give, if not worded as a seeming insult, are spoken in a sarcastic manner, though they are actually legitimately meant to be genuine.

Eyes

His eyes are narrow and a very vibrant violet or purple in colour.

Hair

His hair is bright violet and reaches down to mid-back with a few strands from both sides tied together on top of the rest for a sophisticated look. His bangs are long, and there two shorter pieces framing the face.
