Skaldsword

Long, single-bladed sword (basically a  backsword with a katana-esque hilt that can burst into flames on command.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

How the flame spell works (elemental spells are rare and usually are not runes), stays indefinitely (runes usually eventually wear off), and the exact runes are a very closely guarded secret not very many people know how the flame power works.

Manufacturing process

Of course no one is exactly sure what the entire process is, but the sword itself is likely not too different from other swords.

History

Like all other Skaldswords it was made by the Guild blacksmiths and then put in the armoury for the members to use during training where it passed through many young hands for its first micrellennia of existence. Charity chose the sword as his main weapon and became so attached to it, it was gifted to him as his personal blade.
