Aquaraptor Luminaris
Aquaraptor Luminaris is an amphibious dinosaur found on the coastal cliffs and in the shallow seas off the coast of Gondwana on Earth Primal.
There are two subspecies, known as "golden eyed" and "blue eyed" with subtly different body plans, but both are herbivorous with a glowing bioluminescence, due to a symbiotic species of algae hosted in translucent pouches on the surface of their skin which gives them an otherworldly, light-bearing quality.
The species lives in extended family groups of up to thirty individuals called tribes and was sacred to the long lost civilization of Akteesia. Their priests attributed mystical qualities to the peaceful tribes which they associated with specific temples built on their feeding grounds. They are said to have considered it an ill omen if any members of the tribe were ever killed by larger carnivorous predators within sight of the temples.
