Pious Rain was Holy Conduit for the Orthodox monks of Vesper between 617 AF and 626 AF. In effect, this made him the most powerful of the oligarchs that ruled Vesper at the time. Seeking to consolidate his influence, he allied the Temple of Hesperos with the Hall of Ecstatic Intention, controlled by Cimarine Dalaux and employed Inbar Ull as an unorthodox security "consultant".
He came into conflict with Din Stralek, who arranged for his assassination in 626 AF, a story recounted in more detail in Whispers in the Evening.
