The Ancient and Glorious
The Ancient and Glorious are the enigmatic powers at the heart of the Dark Domains on Magicians' End. Little is known about their origins although there has been much speculation.
The prophet Hylacon claimed that they were cosmic parasites who had latched on to the opportunites of the Planar Conformation to invade the realm.
The Verdarian in the Dark Domains, serve them as a client species and appear to treat them with the respect due to a race of gods.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Ancient and Glorious are a species that exhibit signifcant sexual dimorphism. The males (shown in the illustration at the head of the article) are between fifteen and thirty metres long as fully grown adults. The females are much bigger, with the largest ever seen on Magicians' End being more than seventy metres in length and twenty metres high.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Ancient and Glorious have great mental and arcane powers which they use to impose their will on species that they dominate, through the sheer intimidation of their physical presence and the powerful psychic forces they can generate.

Major Language Groups and Dialects
The Ancient and Glorious often communicate and dominate with the power of their mind alone, but they do also have a language known as the Dark Bleed, which they brought to Magicians' End from the distant realms where it is more commonly spoken.
