The Sacred Coven
The Sacred Coven was a religious and governmental organisation which was founded in secret during the later years of the autocracy of the Mad Mage, then went on to rule Magicians' End for a little more than two hundred years, between 6169 APC and 6392 APC.
Structure
The Sacred Coven was made up of a number of distinct branches, called Chapters, each specialising in a different aspect of spiritual and religious life. The most important of these are described below:-
The Black Thorn
The Black Thorn were political specialists, who managed the high councils of government when the Sacred Coven assumed control. The image at the head of the article shows one of their inner circle meetings.The Silver Moon

The Scarlet Rose
The Scarlet Rose celebrated the sensual powers of the Coven, both in the giving and receiving of bodily pleasure and pain.
