Waldrin Sax
Waldrin Sax
Waldrin Sax was an artist who worked on the moon at the time of the Long Northern Peace. A native of St. Sophia's Covenant, he became famous for a style of expressive artwork which found favour on Earth as well as on his home world. A typical example of his early work is the symbolic painting of Old Kerandia which dates from 2401 AF.
He painted the giant, thirty metre tall, half abstract tribute to the Grey Kings at Anoomenon, called "Angry River", commissioned by the 8th of them, Prakadon Zold and completed in 2408 AF. This hangs in the Council Chamber of the city.
One of Sax's best known works is an illustrated manuscript of Veranyn's Lament which he produced in 2414 AF.
