Xondrix

Xondrix are a species of marsh dwelling herbivore native to the Sunside hemisphere of Noctaliya.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Xondrix are quadrupeds with wide toed feet that spread their weight, allowing them to graze on marshy ground. Their strong jaw and large teeth allows them to grind tough vegetation and they have a complex and long digestive tract which can process plant material which is poor in nutrients. They are large animals but lightboned and not so massive as they might appear.

Ecology and Habitats

In the wild, the Xondrix roam in herds over the cold marshy wastes of Sunside, feeding on grasses and water plants but wild animals are rare now and they are more commonly found in farmed estates, managed carefully by the Owlblood.

This species is under threat in the wild, because the Owlblood hunted it to near extinction.
