Military: Battle

Continuing to chase Lucia, the team uncovers another Asmodian temple, hidden under Longsaddle's shrine to Chauntea.

With Belldolphi secured the team pushed into the hidden temple to Asmodeus. Unlike the last one what had traps to discourage unwanted visitors, this one was more geared against frontal assault. Immediately Bowyn and KT find themselves locked in a mantrap with poison gas falling from the murder holes above them. Figuring that the unknown is better than hot boxing poison the two of them Dimension door forward, and ended up on opposite sides of a door, Bowyn on the side full of angry baddies with sharps things. Gaeika hearing Bowyn's high pitched squeal trolls it up and tears through the 2 doors separating the rest of the party from the vanguard. Once reunited the team finds themselves face to face with a platoon of devils that appear to be living platemail. The Infernals form up, but things start to get weird when they start to hum their battle hymn. The sound that was both low chanting and grinding scraping metal seemed to worm its way into everyone's minds and the casters of the group kept getting distracted by it, loosing their spells in the midst of casting. KT and Gaeika start to pincer the infernals, but they do a good job of protecting themselves and dealing damage as they take the beatings. As their numbers start to dwindle Erebus spots Lucia invisible in the corner offering support to the devils and manages to hit her w/ a dimensional anchor. With her primary get out of jail free card disabled she books it and Erebus makes chase. She's able to stay out of his reach, leading him through a series of winding tunnels until he rounds a corner and takes a face full of ballista from an embattlement at the end of the hall.
By this time the rest of the crew has finished with the rest of the devils and join Erebus in trying to subdue Lucia. Gaeika the troll bounding in and grappling her into submission while KT and Bowyn keep the ballista occupied. While working on securing their prisoner the door next to them flashes green and disintegrates, and Erebus gets an eye full of a large room w/ a very angry beholder in it.....

The team nopes out back to Waterdeep
