The civilisation wants to expand the known world (i.e. map borders). Each step forward is seen as a success.

Explorers discover a New Peoples

Initial explorations by the Civilisation (Xalna) encounter a Proto-Society ( Jungle tribes ) and return news of these to the Capital

Raleia returns

The ship Raleia returns to Xalna (civilisation), bringing only bad news. In the direction that they went, only storms can be found. ( Stormsea / maelstrom )

The First City is Founded

The first Xalnian City Nesa is founded in the newly subjugated Lands. This city is intended to be the administrative Hub of the new territory.

The Golden Age

The civilisation (Xalna) gets along well with the new species; goods and culture are exchanged.

Dros Viviane - The Lady of the Lake

The first major Xalnian trade caravan reaches the fabled city of Dros Viviane , a huge Oasis trade city. The stories and goods they bring back define the exotic perceptions of The Golden Age.

The End of an Age

A Plague sweeps through Xalna but hits the capital ( Gintha ) extra hard. A vast amount of the city dies and no social class escapes unharmed. Fear of the plague causes unrest which just adds to the devastation. The loss of people causes a dramatic shift in the direction of the Empire.

Death of an emperor

The Emperor Ashur II lies on his deathbed heavily afflicted with the Plague. He calls for his Sons and instructs them that he will not choose one of them to be his Heir, but instead asks them to share Power. Both agree, but neither intend to keep their promise. Within the hour the Courts will splinter into two factions ( Crown Duel )

War of misunderstanding

When communication is impossible, war inevitable. The two cultures fight due to misunderstanding each other.

Battle of the Vast Wild

During the war, the civilisation (Xalna) uses the domesticated lizards as cavalry mounts. (Legacy)

A New Profession

Along with the decision on making the domesticated lizard as a cavalry mounts, a group of cultivators from the civilization (Xalna) who had familiar themselves with the creature got appointed to be the vet for the magnificent cavalry.

One of them being the one called Redmund.

The Enemy Within

Those who long for a return to the Golden Age abhor the ongoing conflict, and strike out at those in positions of power. Acts of violence are carried out in the name of peace, revolution, unification, and assimilation.

A Portent of Things to Come

The first of the great war machines is laid down, a huge feat of engineering, technology and labour. At massive cost, the ' Sanguineous Resolve ' is completed, ushering in a new and dreadful era of warfare.

The 'Sanguineous Resolve', after its completion, is used to lay waste to the city of Ephey . (Legacy)

Regret

After using destroying the Xalnian city of Ephey the Veniras decide to never build or use any great war machines anymore, due to the horrors it inflicted.

Rise of a 'Pretender'

Hassaram, a former disgraced General, strikes the Town of Mycaen destroying and looting much of it. Styling themselves as 'Emperor' the general populace nevertheless sees them as a Bandit Leader

Cultural Assimilation

The old civilisation (Xalna) stands in name only. The ruling class changes into an almost unrecognisable state.

The gods end

The Xalnian gods cast of their conduit and subvert themselves to the gods of Venira (species) in the Veniran capitol ( Lenia ) located atop the mountain Hala .
