the place of the dead

there is a tale that some clans in the land of beasts believe it is an old tale. At night you could see nothing behind the moon no stars nothing just blackness. they believed that the blackness behind the moon was the underworld a place where the dead lived. they also believe that the moon wasn't always there and the moon is a beacon for the dead to follow it to the underworld. the moon was also thought put there so that the souls of the dead didn't haunt the living let no dead souls come out of the underworld. one time in ancient times there was a panic in the clans and the moon was gone. a dragon named Meavith Steadycaller was the name of the dragon that ate the moon. a brave young man decided to go find this dragon and talk it into giving the moon back. the young boys name was Dorkolm Stone a young brave man. on his way to the dragon he had many souls of the dead tried to stop him. he eventually found the dragon after thinking of turning back. he then confronted Meavith Steadycaller the dragon was on a pile of gold as the Dorkolm Stone. talked with him the boy was not successful and grabbed a sword near by and stabbed the dragon and fought the dragon. he then cut the dragons throat killing it and he searched the dragons stomach to find the moon and found. then used the dragons wings to fly to the sky and placed the moon in the sky. when he came back he was rewarded with gifts and great thanks from the people.the dragon had black scales and he used them to be create armor and a great sword of metal scales and strong metals. he used the items he made to protect the people in the clans and when he died the armor he wore into battle was buried with him.
