Forge
Demographics
Dwarven, ranging from people with old money from the Golden Age of the dwarves to those who are scraping by looting abandoned settlements deep beneath Forge.
Government
As this is the seat of power for the dwarves, The Dwarf King himself resides within the heart of Forge. The hegemony, though weakened, is still in place.
History
Once a stronghold of the dwarven culture, reaching miles and miles deep into the ground below the mountain known as Forge, the Dwarves have lost ground in the aftermath of a grand war with the elves. Their homeland was ravaged by the elves and a mysterious poison whose effects culminate in insanity - the only ones who are brave or foolish enough to reclaim those poisoned depths were drow. They live in scattered settlements, insane but mostly unbothered, until the next round of dwarves demand conquest only to be lost to the very poison the drow have been lost to.
But now, as the dwarves have moved closer to the surface to escape the poison and ruins of their civilization, living dungeons gain ground unbeknownst.
Architecture
As Forge is the mountain itself, the dwarves have cored out an intricate series of tunnels and passages throughout the mountain and down into the ground below, spreading out for miles in every direction.
Geography
It is built inside a mountain, with an underground trade route known as The Undermarch connecting it to Anvil.
