Additional Rules
Smaller, less significant rules but rules nonetheless!
This contains a list of smaller, less extensive rules that will be implemented during this campaign.
This includes:
Bonus Feat
Guess what! It's what you think it is. Just that it's specifically at level 1.
Intelligence-Given Proficiencies
- For every +2 to Intelligence (+2, +4, +6) a character learns an additional language.
- For every other +1 to Intelligence (+1, +3, +5) a player character gains proficiency in a tool or an Intelligence-based skill.
- This rule applies inversely in the opposite direction.
Realization
In combat, the free action, Interact with Object, can now be used to instead "Realize" the presence of a mundane object in the area. These objects could be used as cover, projectiles, or any other creative use for something technologically uncomplicated that is either handheld or big enough to grant half cover
These rules are designed to increase enjoyability of players. You get some small extra abilities to begin with, and these can be the deciding factor between life and death at first level. The Dread has made the Sword Coast a trecherous place, and the heroes of our story may need an extra boost.
Ability Score Dump
Make one of your Ability Scores less than 10.
Did you know that characters are only as interesting as their flaws? They're also only as interesting as their villains, but I'll handle that. Just make sure your weakness are made up for by the strengths in your party!
