Social Contract

Here lies the code of conduct for ye olde D&D party.

Rules of Engagement

PREPARE YOUR TURN

  • Think ahead, don’t interrupt others during their turn, each round is 6 seconds long and each turn within that round is happening nearly simultaneously, you do not have RP time to scheme with each other (this is a form of metagaming).
  • Read Your Spells and Abilities before coming to session. I am always here to help provide clarity, so please reach out if you misunderstand.
  • Respect when others are trying to talk, everyone needs to have an equal opportunity for RP, even if those people are quieter than others.

Character Creation

  • If your chosen class does not receive its subclass at level one, Look Ahead to your subclass level, choose a subclass, and keep it in mind when designing the flavor of your character.
  • Pick character options that make sense for your character (not minmaxing or creating "the best" character)! If you do not have a reason to have a certain ability or proficiency, make a reason, or choose something else that would make more sense plot-wise.
A player who abides by the social contract will:
  1. Play by the expectations located in the Disclaimer in the Session Zero sidebar.
  2. Follow the Rules of Engagement and Character Creation rules
  3. Respect the established Hard and Soft Limits

Limits

Hard limits
  • Graphic descriptions of relationship abuse, physical, non-consensual
  • Death or torture involving water
Soft limits
  • Fantasy drug abuse, addiction, forced usage
  • Quick romance, no creepy fast-paced arcs
  • Spiders
  • Food horror
  • Self-harm, physical or mental
Out-of-game Limits
  • Respect other's dice possession
  • Avoid yelling out of character (be conscious of ears)
